These are the full five scales for blues guitar. With these five scales you can cover the fret board back and forth. Play with the scales, you will see how they connect.
These scales are the basics for any key. Once you have mastered these scales off by heart, you are half way there, to being a blues guitarist. Of course feeling, touch, and emotion are the missing keys. (pun intended)

your major blues scale has an error.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous, what exactly is the error in the scale, please give me some details.
ReplyDeleteI have verified and don't see any errors.
Major mistakes in this minor blues scale. i.e. these don't fit together. Top middle is wrong for sure.
ReplyDeleteI agree maybe the dirst note is down a fret.
ReplyDeleteOn the lowest string of the second diagram, the first note should be on the second fret with the second finger, not the first fret with the first finger...
ReplyDeleteYour second position the #1 should be on the F# not the F.
ReplyDeleteThese scales are correct. Play with them. Put them together in different patterns and you'll find them s being correct.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern for major blues, or 2 position, is wrong...
